Many packaged foods made in factories have trans fats, along with fried doughnuts, sweets and some margarines and artificial spreads. Sweets have high quantities of sugar and unhealthy fats that are sure to speed up your body’s natural oxidative processes and make you older and sicker for it, along with increasing risks of heart disease. Of course, they lead to weight gain, which only makes the aging process worse in promoting disease, inhibiting mobility and consequences like belly fat that causes premature death. Though farm fresh or frozen meat is good for you thanks to generous protein levels, processed meats are not so healthy because their preservatives promote formation of free radicals, which damage DNA and accelerate aging. Excessive drinking of alcohol places an undue burden on the liver, making it unable to rid the body of real toxins as it’s overwhelmed by the processing of aldehydes in the alcohol. Alcohol also has a pronounced effect on elastin and collagen in the skin, making it appear listless and saggy and when it is not moderated causes a variety of chronic conditions that not only affects aging, but may lead to premature death.
